Parallel Sessions – Day 3

The third day of the International Conference on Business and Management (ICBM 2019), organized by Brac Business School, BRAC University was held on the 27th of April at The Westin, Dhaka Where 12 parallel sessions were held Like the first day, the session brought together prominent academicians and industry experts as well as promising participants from both home and abroad. The parallel sessions were divided into three time slots with presentations happening simultaneously in four rooms. The sessions were divided into distinct tracks so that each session focused on a particular arena of business and management. A total of 85 papers were presented on that day in front of the distinguished session chairs.

Parallel Session 4A: Operations and Supply Chain Management was chaired by Prof. Dr. Nazrul Islam and Dr. Emi Normalina Omar; 4B: (Theme: Accounting, Banking and Finance), by Prof. Dr. Amit Mittal and Mr. Mahmudul Haq; 4C: (Theme: Marketing Management), by Prof. Dr. Md Aminul Karim and Dr. Mohammad Siddiquee; 4D: (Theme: Human Resource Management), by Prof. Dr. S.M. Murali Krishna and Assoc. Prof. Mashiour Rahman.

For Parallel Session 5A: (Theme: Human Resource Management), the session chairs were Dr. Md. Mahbub Alam and Mr. Ferdoush Saleheen; for 5B: (Theme: Accounting, Banking and Finance), Prof. Dr. Md Rabiul Islam and Mr. Monojit Kumar Ojha FCA; 5C: (Theme: Marketing Management), Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mahbubur Rahman and Assoc. Prof. Lt. Col AHM Yeaseen Chowdhury; 5D: (Theme: Human Resource Management), Prof. Dr. Abhijit Das and Dr. Siti Noorsuriani Maon.

The session chairs of the last Parallel Sessions were as follows: 6A: Operations and Supply Chain Management - Prof. Dr. Anwar Hossain and Prof. Dr. Rahim B. Talukder; 6B: Maritime Management - Rear Adm ASM Abdul Baten and Cdre M Ziauddin Alamgir; 6C: Technology Management - Prof. Dr. Bishnu Prasad Mishra and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mohammad Rafiqul Islam; and 6D: Marketing Management - Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mir Abdul Sofique and Dr. H.M. Emrul Kays.

Total fourteen (14) papers on Operations and Supply Chain Management, thirteen (13) on Accounting, Banking and Finance, nineteen (19) on Marketing Management, twenty four (24) on Human Resource Management, eight (8) on Maritime Management and seven (7) on Technology Management were presented on the second day. The sessions ended with the honorable session chairs distributing certificates to the participants and receiving certificates as a token for giving their valuable time.

Local and international participants particularly Canada, Sweden, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Taiwan, Indonesia, India, Nigeria, China, UK, presented their papers in various sessions.
