Parallel Sessions – Day 2

On Friday, April 26th, twelve parallel sessions of ICBM-2019 were held at The Westin, Dhaka. There were three different slots for the parallel sessions 1, 2 and 3 with paper presentations by the participants taking place in four rooms A, B, C, and D simultaneously during each slot. Each parallel session concentrated on a specific subject of business and management and had been named accordingly.

In total 79 papers were presented on the first day of the parallel session which saw prestigious session chairs from home and abroad, such as Prof. Dr. H.M Jahirul Haque and Prof. Dr. C. V. Gopinath in 1A: (Theme: Education); Prof. Dr. Md. Azizul Baten and Dr. Tiena Gustina Amran in 1B: (Theme: Operations and Supply Chain Management); Prof. Dr. Hasnan Ahmed and Dr. Naffisah Mohd Hassan in 1C: (Theme: Accounting, Banking and Finance); Prof. Dr. Golam Samdani Fakir and Assoc. Prof. S.A.M. Manzur H Khan in 1D: (Theme: Accounting, Banking and Finance).

Parallel Session 2 had Prof. Dr. Razamin Ramli and Mr. Mohammad Ismail Majumder as chairs in 2A: (Theme: Operations and Supply Chain Management); Prof. Dr. Mohammad Iqbal and Dr. Rina Fitriani in 2B: (Theme: Operations and Supply Chain Management); Prof. Dr. Arabinda Saha and Dr. Mohamad Safiai Saad in 2C: (Theme: Accounting Banking and Finance); and Prof. Dr. Akmal S. Hyder and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mohammad Basir B Saud in 2D: (Theme: Marketing Management); Parallel Session 3A: (Theme: Economics) was chaired by Prof. Dr. ATM Nurul Amin; Parallel Session 3B: (Theme: Entrepreneurship) by Prof. Dr. Abdul Hannan Chowdhury and Dr. Erne Suzila Kassim; Parallel Session 3C: (Theme: Human Resource Management) by Prof. Dr. Abdur Rab and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ireen Akhter; Parallel Session 3D: Human Resource Management by Prof. Dr. Yousuf Mahbubul Islam and Prof. Dr. B. Chandrachoodan Nair.

On the first day of the parallel session seven (7) papers on Education were presented, six (6) on Entrepreneurship, fourteen (14) on Human Resource Management, twenty one (21) on Operations and Supply Chain Management, eighteen (18) on Accounting, Banking and Finance, seven (7) on Marketing Management and six (6) on Economics. Each session ended with some valuable feedback from the session chairs followed by the distribution of certificates for the participants.

Local and international participants particularly Canada, Sweden, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Taiwan, Indonesia, India, Nigeria, China, UK, presented their papers in various sessions.
